Angela Plum is a Registered Polarity Practitioner and a recognized teacher of the 155-hour course for certification as an Associate Polarity Practitioner. The course is taught once a year over 10 weekends, given once a month starting in late March and ending the first weekend of December.

Rev. Plum also offers Zero Balancing and Polarity Therapy sessions and is an Interfaith Minister who performs weddings, christenings, funerals, memorial services and house blessings.

Dr. Angela Plum earned her Ph.D. at the Open International University of Complementary Medicines in Sri Lanka, which is recognized worldwide by the United Nations. Her 30-year spiritual journey includes alternate healing techniques like Spiritual Healing, Reiki, Polarity Therapy, Zero Balancing, Craniosacral Therapy, Acupressure and Color Healing. She is the author of Alternate Healing Methods: An Overview, An Interfaith Minister's Manual and Journey to Becoming: Developing Your Spiritual Gifts.

Polarity Therapy is a natural health care system. It asserts that energy fields and currents exist everywhere in nature, and that the flow and balance of this energy in the human body is the underlying foundation of health. The practitioner uses her hands as positive and negative poles to affect the movement of energy through stagnant blocks in the body, thereby returning the natural flow.

Zero Balancing is a body handling system developed by Fritz Smith, MD, which focuses on the interface between body energy and body structure. It is a form of structural acupressure in which the hands are used to create a fulcrum (or still point) around which energy and structure can balance and dysfunction can normalize.

Zero Balancing focuses on the skeletal system of the body because the deepest, strongest currents of energy are conducted by bone, the densest tissue in the body. One of the principles of Zero Balancing is that if we put a clearer, stronger force field through a body part, the currents and vibrations of that part will release any "held tension patterns" and become more organized and balanced. The integration often occurs on a subliminal level and eases emotional trauma without the reliving of the trauma. This is particularly valuable on the level of the cellular memory of the body and in cases where physical injury occurred at the time of high emotional stress.

Rev. Plum is convinced that good health and well-being can often be maintained outside of the traditional doctor's office. "People are becoming more responsible for their own health," she says. "Instead of taking a pill for everything that is wrong, people are trying to understand the laws of nature and work with them. We are energy beings. Our physical body is the result of energy patterns. When you correct the disharmony in the energy body, the result is seen in the physical body. However, alternate healing methods do not exclude standard medical care. All must be used."

Zero Balancing Sessions

A Zero Balancing session is done on a fully-clothed client lying on a comfortable table and takes about 40 minutes. The first session with a client may take 1 1/4 hours to accommodate an intake interview. The first session costs $50 and continuing sessions $45.
